Zenon Myczkowski was a Polish pilot who was killed in July 1945 when his Mustang aircraft crashed on a training flght into an orchard at Galleywood.

Zenon was a Polish airman who served as a Flight Sergeant P 705386 in 315 (Polish) Squadron, Royal Air Force. He joined the squadron in June 1945 when it was based at R.A.F. Andrews Field.

On the morning of 9th July 1945 Zenon was the pilot of a North American P51 Mustang III aircraft (serial number KH524) on a training flight over Essex when the aircraft crash-landed into an orchard at Galleywood instantly killing him. He was 26 years old.

Today Zenon lies in Epping Cemetery (Section Z. Grave 10).
